Bring your appetites for Food Truck Mondays, every Monday June 2nd- Sept. 29th. Food trucks from in and around the area will be on hand to serve you for lunch from 11am-3pm and again for dinner from 5-7:30pm.
It can be hard to find places to eat in Northern WI. on Mondays in the Summer, when most of the restaurants are closed for a much deserved break after a busy weekend.
On Monday, June 2nd the Washburn Area Chamber of Commerce will be kick off a summer long event called Food Truck Mondays. Bring your appetites because each Monday from June 2nd through September 29th 2-3 food trucks from in and around the area will be on hand ready to serve you for lunch from 11am-3pm and again for dinner from 5-7:30pm.
This is a rain or shine event! The food trucks will be set up on Central Ave. in Washburn between The Club and the Cultural Center. You can choose to enjoy your meal in Legion Park with live music June 2 – August 25 during Music in the Parks, or you can take it home to enjoy.
The following food trucks will participate at least once this summer:
Fat Kid Foods
The King of Creams
Taco Dan
and More!
Thank you to those who participated during our Food Truck or Treat event in October, without your interest and support we would not be hosting this event all summer long. Help us spread the word and show these businesses that it pays to be here on Monday’s in Washburn!

Reversed painting on glass is an ancient technique that goes back to antiquity and has a long tradition in the folk arts of India and Eastern Europe. Participants will paint an abstract or figurative image while experimenting with color mixing on a small piece of glass, combining paint and gold to create images of color and light. At the end of this workshop, they will have a ready-to-go framed painting. Participants may choose to show their work at a public Artists Reception at CORE Community Center on September 14th.
A part of CORE Community Resources "Art Making for Seniors: Empowerment through Creativity" series, This project is supported in part by a grant from the Chequamegon Bay Arts Council and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin.
